I was happy to find youur website the same day I was writing an essay about St.Jean d’Arc, comparing her with St.Therese de Lisieux!
We are now preparing a radio translation about Joan of Arc together with my friend Julius Sasnauskas, Catholic priest and writer. I am Thomas Chepaitis, translator and also essayist (Catholic-Orthodox). We dwell in Vilnius, Lithuania, work for “A Little Studio” – Franciscan radio.
Can you please guide us on G.K.Chesterton’s quotation (he is my best author:) – is it a part of an essay – then of which one – or is it a separate piece?

Thank you John. I appreciate you dropping by. I have read some things about Medjugorje that also concern me very much. Quite candidly, I do not pay much attention to Medjugorje. Until the Church makes a decision, I shall be quite content with Fatima, Lourdes, and La Sallette for private devotions. The most important thing is to hold on to the Rock of Peter in Holy Mother Church. I appreciate your words of caution and fraternal concern. Please come back.

Interesting blog. Thanks for your efforts, great stuff for the Holy Kingdom of France.
Just as a point above, I, like Fr. Malachi Martin, believe Medjugorje to be a demonic hoax due to the lack of humility of the “seers”. They have used their fame as “seers” to buy fine homes and cars, this simply isn’t authentic. I advise all Catholics to stay clear.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I agree with you very much. As I am, as noted in this essay, an American Francophile (and Joan-a-phile) and not a native of France, I cannot claim to have a pulse on their attitudes.

Yes, it was truly a once splendid society as we see, and you note, in their wonderful and noble accomplishments. A rich history indeed. I certainly hope that we do not see her destroyed by fire. The prophecies to which I refer here do not, that I recall, make that claim, though there is reference to a war at Westphalia between the “Good” King and the opposite forces. The “Good” King wins”:))

I became intrigued with these prophecies after being absorbed in medieval thought and in my devotion to St. Joan of Arc. For a long while I had trouble reconciling how I truly believed with my beliefs from birth in the Republic. Over time I realized that in all honesty I was a Monarchist. As pointed out here, I see it as, in an odd way, being quite patriotic to my country of birth and the country I love, America, just not in the Republican form of government.

Well, time will tell. These prophecies are not doctrine. There is no obligation to believe them. I sort of do/want to/like the idea of them, and so we have it!

I have always been intrigued by this discussion of the return of the monarchy in France. The French supposedly love their republic. When I see France I see a once splendid civilization under her kings,.now I see a sleazy republic where Moslem minorities are taking over in certain cities and demanding that their rites ; including butchering animals in the streets be acknowledged. It is certainly not Christian to criticize others whose faith and beliefs are different; yet I fear for France and Europe. Is Nostradamus right? Will there be a cataclysmic event that will destroy France? I think of Versailles, Mont St. Michel, Notre Dame de Rheims; the greatest buildings of France destroyed by war? The greatest and most noble buildings of France were built under her Kings; the future is frightening indeed.
