The Catholic and Royal Army of America (CRAA) is under the co-patronage of St. Joan of Arc and St. Thérèse of Lisieux.
The CRAA is the political, social, and cultural counterpart to The Dove and Rose devotion to St. Joan of Arc and St. Thérèse of Lisieux. As The Dove and Rose devotion to St. Joan of Arc and St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus is a means for uniting ourselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the center of Mary’s Immaculate Heart which is mystically the Kingdom of God, the CRAA is the necessary means for the defense and propogation of that same Kingdom.
The CRAA is a counter-revolutionary (CR) organization devoted to the defense of the Holy Roman Catholic Church, which is the seed of the Kingdom of God on earth, and to a revival of the cultural heritage of Christendom in the United States of America and, indeed, in all of the West. The CRAA recognizes that nations play various and unique roles in the divine economy of almighty God and that, whereas America has a prominent role in that plan, it is to the Kingdom of France (now in exile under “the Republic”) that belongs the supreme title of “Eldest Daughter of the Church” and the “tribe of Judah of the New Covenant” who, by prophetic destiny, will lead the defense of the Church and of Western Civilization through a Great Monarch who will come in alliance with a saintly and powerful Pope.
The CRAA, however, does not rely for her work strictly on private prophecies, even those of the great Church Fathers and other holy saints. She is, as her name implies, inspired by the martyrs of the Catholic and Royal Army of the Vendée, “l’Armée Catholique et Royale,” who led the counter-revolution opposing the blasphemous French Revolution. As with the noble Vendéans, we are devoted first and foremost to the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church in union with our Holy Father the Pope and the Bishops in union with him. As with the noble Vendéans, we are the children of the most holy and glorious Virgin Mary through the teachings of St. Louis de Montfort. As with all counter-revolutionaries, we are driven in an unyielding sense of Christian fidelity and charity by the influence of St. Joan of Arc, “Sainte Jeanne d’Arc.”
The CRAA recognizes that each CR must first be converted in heart, mind, and soul to Jesus Christ as He is known in the fullness of public revelation in His Roman Catholic Church. The CR must be consecrated totally and without reserve to the most holy and blessed Virgin Mary. The CR is strongly encouraged to consecrate him or herself to the patronage of St. Joan of Arc and St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the secondary co-patronesses of France, as a means to enter most deeply and meaningfully into the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the mystical Kingdom of God, where Christ sits enthroned in all of His glory. The CR must be willing to endure the loss of all things, even his or her own life, for the cause of Jesus Christ our King, the most holy and glorious Virgin Mary our Queen, and the entire Kingdom of God.
The CRAA recognizes that on the earthly stage, replete with a cacophony of confusing and contradictory philosophies, there are really only two apocalyptic players, Christ and Anti-Christ. Christ is truly man and truly God as the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, the only Savior of the human race, and the One through Whom all things were created. Through time and space, He draws all men and all of creation to Himself in magnificent order, beauty, and glory, to be fulfilled at His Second Coming when He will judge the living and the dead, and His Kingdom will have no end. Anti-Christ is Satan personified, whose spirit roams the world with a legion of fallen angels seeking the ruin of every human soul. He will be the spirit guiding the Anti-Christ of history when that awful moment arrives.
The CRAA, along with every CR, knows that with the two apocalyptic players come their temporal forces, Christ’s being that of obedience to the will of the Father, moral and civil order, peace, happiness, beauty, and authentic life-giving culture, and with the Anti-Christ’s being a Revolution of disordered blasphemy and vulgarity against the aforementioned. The Revolution seeks to destroy through any means possible, notably through the vulgar and disordered passions of man, the advancement of Christ’s beauty, order, and peace in time and space. The counter-revolution is the pro-active response to end the Revolution and to establish the reign of Christ in the hearts of all men and women, and, through their hearts, to establish Christ’s reign of beauty and order in the temporal affairs of mankind.
The CRAA recognizes the Revolution as a phenomenon that predates the created order to when Satan with his vulgar hosts rebelled against God. The Revolution was then inculcated like a virus as Orignal Sin into the human race at the fall of mankind through the temptation of the evil one. The Revolution has shown itself consistently throughout the ages. However, the CRAA points to four more modern key manifestations of the Revolution which are driving most of the work of the spirit of Anti-Christ in the world today and which are preparing the way for the Anti-Christ of history:
(1) The Protestant Revolution (we do not refer to it as “Reformation,” for it reformed nothing; it was nothing less than a Revolution against Christ’s Church)
(2) The French Revolution
(3) The Bolshevik Revolution
(4) The “Sixties” hippy Revolution (which includes atheism, secularism, moral and religious relativism, “spiritual but not religious” nonsense, and the New Age)
All of these Revolutions have acted as a flaming ramrod against the great castle walls of the Kingdom of God, the seed on earth of which is the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
The CRAA is loyal to the Pope in Rome and the Bishops in union with him.
The CRAA is very traditionally minded, though loyal to the Second Vatican Council. She is neither Lefebvrist nor Sede Vacantist. The CRAA is more aligned in thought with the late l’Abbé de Nantes, who, while very traditionalist and critical of Vatican II, nevertheless remained in union with the Church.
The CRAA does, however, still see in today’s Church the prophetic fulfillment of the “counter-Church,” the “strange big church that was being built there (in Rome) with nothing holy in it; everything was being done according to human reason” (Bl Ann Catherine Emmerick), which has been established inside the walls of the Kingdom of God through Anti-Christ forces. These are the Revolutionaries who treacherously call themselves “Catholic” while refusing to obey Christ in His Church. They are the abortionists, homosexual rights advocates, women ordination supporters, religious syncretists, moral relativists, those who propose vulgar liturgical practices alongside novel, Masonic and Protestant doctrines, in sum, nothing more than Satan’s Revolutionaries working from the inside to destroy the Church. The counter-church has been established, not through Vatican II, but in the aftermath of Vatican II by those internal Revolutionaries who have purposely created confusion while blasphemously implementing novelties that are not even of Vatican II.
The CRAA, for the all the reasons listed above, is wholly devoted to the Kingdom of France and to the restoration of the French Monarchy, in addition to being devoted to the restoration of Catholicism and the culture of Christendom in America through a Catholic Monarchy.
The CRAA, then, is Catholic (of the traditional mind, though in union with the post-VII Church), Royalist, and counter-revolutionary.
With the above in place, the CRAA poses the following position statement:
The CRAA supports the institution of a Catholic Monarchy for the United States, in the model of confederate/feudal Europe during the reigns of such noble Kings as St. Louis IX of France or even of later examples of glorious sovereign leadership such as Queen Isabel of Castile.
Though using the term “Monarch” rather than simply “King and Queen,” the latter is more descriptive of our model. It is not the authoritarian regalism of Louis XIV, though we honor and respect him in his role as defender of the Catholic Faith (ultimately) and of France, the “Eldest Daughter of the Church.” Our model is the more feudal one of a most Christian Catholic King and Queen who are subject to the moral authority of the Church and who rule relatively independent territories more as suzerains than as monarchs.
The Catholic Monarchy is our greatest hope for protecting our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. The Catholic Monarchy would be the safeguard of local democracies, the rights of free speech and religion (“within due limits” as per Vatican II, Pius XII, Leo XIII, Pius IX, and Gregory XVI) and of free association.
The Catholic Monarchy is our greatest hope for protecting and promoting free enterprise, the right of local private ownership of property, and against multi-national corporations and globalization.
The Catholic Monarchy is our greatest hope for building a unified, high culture of arts, education, and language that seek the ennobling of its citizenry.
Though the idea of a Catholic Monarch in the United States seems fantastically unreal at this time, the CRAA holds that it is completely realistic that she could nevertheless become a voice from the “far right” of the otherwise completely vulgar and liberal American political spectrum.
Let us strive to be that voice of true reason. Perhaps, one day, if the Republic does indeed collapse under the weight of her sins and liberalism, while she is facing a tyrannical, secular, atheistic dictator, the idea of a Catholic Monarch to save her will not seem so far-fetched after all.
